The Duck Pond

Shotgun Display

The base of this gun display is made from Redwood, a majestic tree that grows only in Southern Oregon and Northern California. The overall flow of this burl stirs the imagination with images of a cold wintry day, ducks on the pond, the old 4 pawed huntin' pal, and an old sweeping oak shading the pond. Waitin' with decoys out and shotgun loaded, ready to put meat on the table.

The shotgun featured is an antique Francis Bannerman Pump Slide Action. Built for black powder charges, and showing a beautiful Damascus steel barrel. This gun is a piece of American History.

This slide action was designed by Christopher Spencer, the designer/manufacturer of the famous Spencer Repeating Rifle of the Civil War. After being sold to Fogerty Rifle Company, which Winchester ultimately purchased (naturally they discontinued production of this model) Mr. Bannerman purchased the rights to build and produce this shotgun along with approximately 20,000 more. Production ended with the company ceasing production in the early 1900's. Truly a piece of American firearm history!!

The gun display also features a silver spur cradling the butt of the gun, a collection of antique shot shells, and a full box of Winchester ammo, all adding to the uniqueness of the display.

The Trapper

Rifle/Pistol Display

This Rifle/Pistol Display is a tribute to a tough breed of man, The Trapper. Out in the weather, carrying a heavy load (Steel Traps Weigh A Lot!). Yet needing a Rifle & Handgun for food and protection.

This was the rifle many carried. The short barreled Winchester specially built for them to carry (Sorry this is not an original, I can't afford one yet.).

The Rifle mere is a modern example of the old Model 94 .45LC. The handgun is a Ruger Super Black Hawk .45LC. Plus some examples of the tools of the trade of trapping.

This display has a dark Redwood Base, a couple of antique traps, Scent, Ammo, Knife, Tools to Live With, Tools To Survive With.

The Modern Hunter

Modern Gun Display

This more modern gun display features a beautiful maple burl base with exceptional wood grain. Flowing from chaotic wood patterns to bird's eye grain, all finished to tabletop quality. Hand selected manzanita forms the "Natural Tree" cradling the barrel of the gun.

The featured rifle is a Ruger #1 medium spotter 45/70 cal. with a 22" barrel in excellent condition, with a 3/9 Leupold scope and Montana sling.

This gun display contains all the niceties of modern hunting. Nikon Binoculars, Rangefinder, Ammo Belt, Knife, Garmin G.P.S., along with other nick knacks to give it the feel of the modern hunter and sports Shooter.
